Is it October already?
Just checking in to let everyone know that I was not kidnapped nor locked up - just been busy and enjoying some fall weather. Stay tuned for updates in the next few days.
I do want to post an update and say that yes, IMDB's title change is correct and the Crowley project is now Extaordinary Measures (much better title I might add). Also got word that in the next week or so there will be some promotional material coming out (a trailer maybe?).
I'll be updating here shortly with a news round-up but to be honest if you want to stay up to date on the latest Harrison news chances are you'll find out about it first on the forum. Have to give credit where its due and that goes to several forum members who stay on top of all things Harrison.
September 24th, 2009 UPDATE
Just got word that the title might be changing - Stay tuned.
Untitled Crowley Project now has official title. Just got official confirmation that the movie is now called Determined with a release date slated for March 19th, 2010.

I have to give a big thank you to the forum members who have been keeping others up to date with Harrison news. With me having a case of the lazies the last few days some forum members have been troopers in gathering up the news.
For the most part the last few days have seen Harrison in the spotlight for his environmental work and here is a rundown:
- Harrison talks to MSNBC's Andrea Michell about Team Earth's drive to stop tropical deforistation.
- Harrison appeared on Good Morning America to kick off Team Earth's climate week. Since there is no direct link to the video I'm just linking you to the search page and Harrison's appearance will be first on the list.
- There are some pictures all over the photo news agencies of Harrison in New York - FilmMagic.com, GettyImages.
September 17th, 2009 Update

Deauville Update #3
In the 10 years that HFW has been online, this site has covered every honor that Harrison has recieved and I'm here to say that his acceptance speech last night was the most emotional I've ever seen. Very touching and here is a video of that moment.

Deauville Update #2
Yahoo and Getty Images have some nice pictures of Harrison in Deauville.
- Yahoo photos
- Getty Images
Yahoo also has a video featuring Harrison on the carpet and an excerpt from press conference that I discussed earlier. Check it out here.
Harrison's Press Conference video
Thanks to forum member GrandmaJones for this terrific find. The video can be found on Deauville film festival official site. Harrison takes a few questions from the press.
Please note that you might get a HTTP 404 not found message but if you check back later chances are it will finally load for you. In other words, just keep trying.
Here's a run-down of the press conference.
- Briefly discusses his last two projects (Morning Glory, Untitled Crowley Project)
- Discusses why he no longer makes Science Fiction movies. He did add that if a good script came along with a director he wanted to work with he would be interested.
- Interesting comments about how much he was involved with Crossing Over. Hint: not as much as people were led to believe.
- Doesn't revisit his old films ("I'm not nostalgic for my old films")
- Embarassed to admit not seeing movies that often. Doesn't watch them at home, prefers the theater. Apologizes again about not seeing many movies and says he should support others in the business by seeing their films.
- Was ask why no Indiana Jones or Star Wars films are being shown in Deauville to celebrate Harrison's career. He goes on to say that he wanted to offer different kinds of films from his career. Also said that everyone has already seen Indy and Star Wars.
- Humorous moment when he was asked what other parts of his body he would offer up (this is in reference to when Harrison got his chest waxed for a Rainforest preservation commercial) - he never answered :)
- Says he has been very happy with his career and is grateful for all that it has provided him. Doesn't think philosophically about how film has changed over the years. Also, does not regret turning down roles and his reason is he does not feel emotionally for it he won't do the film.
- Doesn't have a favorite film he's made, does not have a favorite moment while working on a film. Says its hard to single out any particular moment as he just has a good time working on a project.
- Says he enjoys coming to Deauville as he has always had a nice time there and he feels that the festival is an important venue for promoting American films.
Again, here is the link to the video.

Bits n Pieces
CBS CEO Leslie Moonves comments about Untitled Crowley Project. At a recent Bank of America-Merrill Lynch Media Conference Moonves discussed various topics relating to CBS and one of them was about the new movie division CBS Films.
"CBS's first theatrical comes out in January with Jennifer Lopez, and in March it has Harrison Ford movie. Moonves says they have their own domestic distribution.
"These are real movies, Jessica," Moonves says. "Harrison Ford is a big star where I come from," he says The movies cost under $40 million. "You won't see this division doing `Transformers."
Personally, I love his attitude about making high-budget movies and I am extremely happy that Harrison is getting involved in small budget projects as it gives him more options. Read rest of article here.
Harrison makes best of list
twice
Creative Loafing blog has up their summer movie wrap (read
here) and Harrison makes their list for Best
Cameo. "Best Cameo: Harrison Ford. Bet you didn’t know Ford appeared in two
movies this summer. Bet even Ford doesn’t know he appeared in two movies this
summer. Yet his split-second appearances in Bruno (ambushed on the street by the
title character) and (500) Days of Summer (appearing in a Star Wars clip)
resulted in two of the season’s most hilarious
moments."

Harrison the sailor man
We've been
discussing this on the forum so I'd better get in gear and post it on
the main page. On August 11th BMW Oracle announced the U.S. Amercia's cup
team and Harrison was there to celebrate the announcement and he even
took a ride with the new team. I've added 12 pictures to the gallery (click
here to view). Harrison looked fantastic and, most
importantly, he seemed to be having a blast hanging out with the team.

Harrison receives Freedom of Flight
award
After receiving the honor Harrison
said "This is a surprise, I'm very grateful for the recognition."EAA President
and Chairman Tom Poberezny said Harrison has done so much more than being
another pilot. "The Freedom of Flight award is the most significant annual EAA
award given to individuals who truly make a difference in aviation and EAA,"
Poberezny said. "Young Eagles is the most important program we have for building
the future of aviation. It has become a part of the culture of EAA, leading to
